All-College Basketball Classic 2016

University of Oklahoma vs. Wichita State University

About The Show

The All-College Basketball Classic returns to the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Saturday, December 10 at 3pm.

After a two year hiatus, the historic All-College Basketball Classic returns this year to Oklahoma City's Chesapeake Energy Arena for its 79th edition. The game has a NCAA Tournament game vibe featuring the Oklahoma Sooners and the Wichita State Shockers.

The Sooners are coming off their first Final Four season since 2002. Coach Lon Kruger returns senior guard Jordan Woodard (13 ppg) and junior shot block master Khadeem Lattin (2.1 bpg) but, will have to replace the departed senior trio of Buddy Hield (25 ppg), Isaiah Cousins (12.6 ppg 4.5 apg), and Ryan Spangler (10.2 ppg 9 rpg).

The Shockers will have to regroup as well after losing the legendary guard duo of Fred VanVleet and Ron Baker, who led the Shockers to the Final Four in 2013. Fortunately, the Shockers return head coach Gregg Marshall, one of college basketball's best strategist. With sophomore Markis McDuffie (MVC Freshman of the Year) and junior Shaq Morris (56 fg%), Marshall's cupboard is far from bare.

Despite major roster adjustments, the Sooners and Shockers will be fighting for NCAA tournament bids and this game will be a huge resume booster for both programs come Selection Sunday. With Kruger and Marshall at the helm, do not be surprised to see these teams make a deep run this March.
