DOWNTOWN ARENA TO BE OFFICIALLY KNOWN AS THE “OKLAHOMA CITY ARENA”

Oklahoma City, Okla. – The arena formerly known as Ford Center will be referred to as the “Oklahoma City Arena” for the immediate future.

In August, the Oklahoma City Thunder announced its naming rights agreement with the Oklahoma Ford Dealers had ended and it was in discussions with other potential naming rights partners. Those discussions are ongoing, but in the meantime the building will be known as the Oklahoma City Arena.

“No matter the name of the arena, SMG is pleased to present world-class concerts and events in Oklahoma City,” said Gary Desjardins, Regional General Manager of the SMG-managed Oklahoma City Arena. “We like to express our sincerest gratitude to the Oklahoma Ford Dealers for their years as partners to the arena.”

The official Web site is now:  http://www.theokcarena.com.
