ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER

Under limited supervision, directs the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive environmental, safety and health programs for ASM Managed facility including programs, policies and procedures that are compliant and promote continuous improvement. Provides leadership, direction and support necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and standards to meet or exceed relevant internal and external safety environmental standards in a manner consistent with sound business practice. Requires the ability to develop and maintain relationships with all levels with and outside the organization from corporate, regional and facility management to supervisors and hourly employees in all areas.

MAJOR RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Communicating and helping to implement public health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensuring that existing safety programs are modified for compatibility with new safety and health considerations and protocols related to COVID-19 guidelines.
  • Helping to create or modify Team Member training that applies current information about recognized workplace COVID-19 hazards and infection control measures, including social distancing, wearing face coverings, handwashing, temperature checking, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces.
  • Working closely with management to develop and implement event health & safety plans.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the development, administration and maintenance of EHS compliance and continuous improvement program elements. Serve as liaison with applicable external regulatory agencies and coordinate and follow-up on EHS audits to ensure satisfactory compliance. Ensure all required reports are completed and submitted as required.
  • Develop and administer the facility EHS management systems including employee participation, employee health, hazard analyses, safe operating procedures, training, risk management, loss control, spill prevention, hazardous waste, DOT hazardous materials, emissions, emergency planning and all other key system elements.
  • Facilitate compliance with facility, regional, corporate and regulatory environmental & safety standards and guidelines through audits, inspections, recordkeeping and data documentation. Assist management with investigations, provide recommendations for corrective or preventive measures, and ensure that accurate environmental and injury/illness records are maintained.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of EHS regulations and laws to provide expertise for EHS assessments, capital projects, work orders, and general EHS related problem solving at the site, regional and corporate level as needed.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly PMs for building sprinkler system and generator systems.
  • Maintain all Safety training records, AED's, Life Safety Systems, and Emergency backup systems. Track through CMMS program.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Demonstrated ability to move between tasks and projects on short notice and to quickly change priorities based on customer and department needs, while still meeting project deadlines (Flexibility is key in this role as priorities change quickly)
  • Able to work well in a team environment or independently

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational / Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or other EHS related field preferred; other four-year degrees will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Construction or Occupational safety environment related to EHS program management.
  • Minimum 30-Hour OSHA Training

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATION:

  • Certification in and EHS related discipline and/or further education is a plus.
  • Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the Unites States.

SUMMARY -- Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, the HVAC Mechanic will operate, maintain, inspect, clean, and make adjustments to all aspects of facility electronic and mechanical systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

    • Assist in coordinating the work of repair, maintenance, and preventative measures of all facility systems;
    • Inspect systems throughout facility to detect malfunction or breakdowns;
    • Investigate malfunctions or breakdown of systems to diagnose causes and locate the source of the problem;
    • Anticipate potential malfunctions or breakdowns and takes appropriate action to prevent or minimize the use of services;
    • Operate and maintain refrigeration and heating of facility;
    • Maintain and inspect equipment, including pumps, boilers, and automatic doors;
    • Record inspections and repairs;
    • Complete work assigned orders;
    • Performing chemical tests, safety reports, inspections sheets and other related reports and forms on a daily basis;
    • Inspect service, maintain and repair ice-making/freezing systems and appurtenances;
    • Inspect and maintain the fire suppression system;
    • Assist in the set-up for events;
    • The HVAC Mechanic has frequent contact with contract personnel and the public to answer questions about work being performed or to refer individuals to appropriate departmental personnel;
    • Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, codes and regulations;
    • Adhere to OSHA and other applicable safety codes;
    • Know safety precautions applicable to building equipment and repair;
    • Coordinate the operations activities with other building departments and show-related contractors;
    • Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions. Investigates, analyzes and resolves operational problems and complaints;
    • Follow the preventive maintenance program, energy management program and standard operations procedures for all machinery and equipment;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer and Skilled Trades Senior Operations Manager.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has limited supervisory responsibilities for assisting other operations staff. Carries out any temporarily assigned supervisory responsibilities in accordance with SMG's policies and applicable laws.

  • Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds such as drums or barrels of chemicals, parts, and pieces of equipment, etc.;
  • Ability to bend, twist, and reach out to perform duties such as maintenance and repair on air handling and heating systems;
  • Ability to balance while working from ladders, platforms, catwalks, etc.;
  • Extreme arm-hand steadiness, manual dexterity, and finger dexterity enough to perform maintenance and repair tasks on air handling and heating systems;
  • Visual acuity to read various items such as wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, part numbers, etc., and to work on small parts and wires;
  • Ability to distinguish color to perform tasks such as accurately matching color-coded wires etc., and determining different colors and hues when performing chemical tests;
  • Hearing sufficient to clearly hear voices, alarms, bells and horns.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid Oklahoma City Class II Boiler Operator License: must obtain Class I within a reasonable time;
  • Valid Oklahoma State Driver's License.

SUMMARY -- ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is looking for an energetic and friendly individual to fill a part-time Guest Relations Representative role for ASM-OKC. Under the supervision of the Guest Relations and Event Security Managers, the primary focus of this representative is to provide World-Class customer service to all guests at Chesapeake Energy Arena and Cox Convention Center. This is a part-time position that is usually scheduled to work after normal business hours.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure guests feel welcomed by greeting and seating guests in the arena in a friendly, professional manner.
    • Clean and disinfect high touch point surfaces with a cleaning cloth multiple times per shift, like handrails.
  • Act as a resource and host to guests visiting the Arena and Convention Center by maintaining a working knowledge of our facilities and special events.
  • Assist guests with elevator/escalator services, including ADA elevator.
  • Respond to all guests' concerns/complaints in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all guest requests/needs and then pursue the issue to a resolution.
  • Enforce all building policies and procedures during an event to assure safety and security for all.
  • Exhibit courteous hospitality at all times and be proactive in every area.
  • Work cooperatively with all staff members.
  • Respond to and investigate incidents/inquire with witnesses on scene.
  • Provide public assistance with lost and found.
  • Monitor the crowd during all events.
  • Provide assistance to guests during emergency situations such as sheltering in place and evacuations of the building.

SUMMARY -- ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is looking for an energetic and friendly individual to fill a part-time Event Security role for ASM-OKC. Under the supervision of the Guest Relations and Event Security Managers, the primary focus of this individual is to ensure the safety of guests and secure restricted areas. This is a part-time position that is usually scheduled to work after normal business hours.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

    • Accurately check all staff/guests bags as they enter the arena, using x-ray viewing equipment, to determine whether items contain objects that warrant further investigation, and set bags aside for searching or re-screening as indicated by equipment.
    • Operate a walkthrough magnetometer to screen guests, employees and contractors entering the arena.
    • Ensure guests feel welcomed by greeting guests to the arena in a friendly, professional manner.
    • Verifies credentials to ensure control of access into restricted areas.
    • Clean and disinfect high touch point surfaces with a cleaning cloth multiple times per shift, like x-ray equipment, ticket kiosks, handrails, and search tables.
    • Assist guests in ticket scanning kiosks when needed.
    • Responds immediately and professionally to guest disturbances/incidents.
    • Secures the perimeter of ticketed areas.
    • Arrives for shift on time, neatly groomed and in a clean, pressed well maintained uniform.
    • Accurately and thoroughly complete incident reports when needed.
    • Effectively diffuse potentially volatile situations.
    • Works cooperatively with other departments and vendors within the arena.
    • Interacts with guests in a polite and professional manner.
    • Answers guests' questions in a knowledgeable, helpful and professional manner.
    • Consistently and continually enforces facility policies and procedures relative to prohibited items, disruptive guests, etc.
  • Monitor the crowd during all events.
  • Provide assistance to guests during emergency situations such as sheltering in place and evacuations of the building.
  • Performs other duties as required to the satisfaction of supervisors and management.
